Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How much do you charge?

My fees are £65.00 per session.

Do you offer a reduced rate?

I do offer a reduced rate for students, trainee counsellors, or those struggling financially. Please contact me to find out more about how this works or may be relevant to you.

Please note, I will need to see evidence of circumstances to be able to offer a reduced rate.

When do I pay for sessions?

Sessions should be paid for via bank transfer at least 48 hours before the session. The session will not go ahead if payment is not received by this point.

Where are you based?

I currently offer sessions online via Zoom.

In the future I will be offering in-person and walk-and-talk sessions, and will update when this becomes available.

What issues can you help me with?

I work with a wide range of presenting issues, including ADHD, anxiety, autism, abuse, unhealthy or abusive relationships, bereavement and loss, body image, depression, domestic violence, LGBTQ+, narcissistic abuse, self-esteem difficulties, personality disorders, PTSD, self-harm, sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, trauma, and more.

Do you share any of what I say in sessions with anyone else?

I have a thorough Confidentiality policy, that I will share when we start working together and whenever this policy is renewed.

Therapy is confidential, and what is discussed in sessions is given the same privilege. This means that what you discuss in sessions remains between us. There are exceptions to this and this is when you, or others are at risk of harm, or if my notes are requested by a court order.

I do keep brief and anonymous notes of sessions, noting down themes/topics of sessions. You may request access to these notes, if you wish, and it these notes that may be requested by a court order.

In addition, in order to practice ethically, I must attend regular supervision, in which certain aspects of our work may be discussed. My supervisor is bound by the same levels of confidentiality as me, and will receive anonymised information.

Are you registered with a professional body?

I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)..
